Pébéo Chinese Drawing Ink Black 250 ml

This superior quality ink offers an opaque, satin black that will bring remarkable intensity to your artistic creations. Pebeo India Ink is distinguished by its good lightfastness, ensuring that colours are preserved over time. You will be able to admire your work for years without fear of fading or tarnishing.

  • This versatile ink dilutes easily with water, allowing you to create subtle washes and gradations. You can create effects of depth and transparency, adding an extra dimension to your work. Once dry, ink resists water and scrubbing, giving exceptional durability to your creations. You can apply additional coats without fear of disturbing your previous work.
  • Color: indian ink graphic

How to use:

  • Graphic ink
    • Graphic India Ink is a dispersion of carbon black. Fluid without dripping, it can be diluted with water for washes. Once dry, it resists water and gumming.
  • Sepia Ink
    • Sepia Ink is a pigmented ink. It is fluid and diluted with water for ink washing. Once dry, it resists water and washing.
    • Used for drawing, ink wash drawing, and calligraphy.
  • The Drawing Gum
    • The Drawing Gum is a peelable gum for reserving areas in works with ink, watercolor, gouache, etc. It is applied with a brush or pen to mask parts of the drawing.
    • Coloring is done once the gum is dry. To reveal the masked parts, peel off the gum with your fingers or an eraser when the colors are dry.
    • The Drawing Gum markers offer easier use with precise lines (0.7 mm or 4 mm). To prime the marker:
      • Shake the marker firmly with the cap closed to move the ball inside.
      • Press the tip several times on paper to absorb the paint.
      • If residue forms, remove it with your fingers. Regularly clean the 0.7 mm plastic tip by running it under warm water. Spare wicks are integrated into the cap, and markers should be stored horizontally with the cap closed. They last up to 6 months at moderate temperatures (15-25°C). Be cautious with air travel, as excess product may leak into the cap or wick.
      • For 4 mm wick markers, spare wick packs include two round and two beveled wicks for various calligraphy strokes, extending the marker's life and versatility.
  • Bread Crumb Eraser
    • This moldable eraser is used for charcoal, graphite pencil, pastels, sanguines, etc. It absorbs excess pigment and can be kneaded to clean itself for reuse.
    • It leaves no residue and can be shaped for fine or broad erasing depending on the pressure applied.
  • Pearl Ink Medium
    • This water-based medium for watercolor or acrylic inks gives a pearly effect. It can be mixed with color or applied directly on dry color.
  • The Varnishes
    • Crystal Varnish
      • Solvent-based acrylic resin, with a glossy finish. Not recommended for thinning.
      • Dust-free drying: 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on thickness. Clean tools with petroleum spirits.
    • Gouache Surfin Varnish
      • Solvent-based varnish with a satin finish. Non-yellowing acrylic base.
      • Dust-free drying: 30 minutes to 1 hour. Clean tools with petroleum spirits.
    • Gouache Varnish Waterborne Satin
      • Water-based varnish with a satin finish. Avoid repeat applications to prevent soaking the gouache layers.
      • Dust-free drying: 30 minutes to 1 hour. Clean tools with soapy water before drying.
    • Anti-UV Varnish
      • Universal anti-UV solvent-based varnish with a satin finish. Reduces UV effects on oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, ink, and pastel. Recommended for protecting illustrations made with Colorex inks.
      • Apply on dry colors in thin coats, shaking the aerosol before use and spraying from 20-30 cm away. Drying time: 10-15 minutes. Clean the nozzle after use by holding the aerosol upside down.
  • Pastels and Charcoals Fixative
    • Acrylic varnish, non-yellowing with a satin finish. Dust-free drying: 2-3 hours depending on thickness and temperature. Clean tools with petroleum spirits.
    • Used to protect drawings without altering colors, for long-lasting conservation.
