5-string electric bass guitar for left-handed players from SR series that features a lightweight mahogany body, a smooth, fast 5-piece maple/walnut neck, and perfectly matched electronics. The neck construction provides excellent strength and stability but also enhances sustain of the instrument. The jatoba fingerboard with medium frets and white dot inlay produces a rich mid-range with a crisp high end. Scale length is 864 mm, fingerboard radius is 305 mm and nut width is 45 mm. The bass guitar is equipped with two passive PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups that were developed by Ibanez and feature exposed pole pieces, producing a stronger signal and providing an increased response of the higher frequencies without sacrificing low end. They can be controlled by a 3-band EQ which works in conjunction with a 3-way Power Tap switch for a wide tonal range. Tap More (single coil) setting offers a punchy, dynamic sound with superior articulation, while the Series Mode (humbucking) setting delivers a full, warm tone. Finally, the Power Tap Mode provides the best of both, combining the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker. The bass guitar further features the Accu-cast B125 bridge with extra-wide 16.5mm string spacing which can accommodate even the heaviest string sets, and black hardware. Weathered Black colour design.

A real pleasure to play - nicely balanced, neck sits comfortably in the hands. Added bonus that it looks great too! Very happy with this bass.

In conclusion, for the money, it's well worth it if you want a lightweight five-string bass guitar for modern rock/metal music. A separate boost/cut potentiometer for the low and mid-high frequencies, a volume and a pickup balancer can be used on the top row to adjust the ratio of the neck and bridge pickups, and the power tap switch gives you even more gain. The resistance of the potentiometers is pleasantly heavy, you won't accidentally twist them, the pot caps are hatched metal surfaces, nice to touch. For modern music, you can mix anything out of it if you want a "hi-fi" sound. The pickups are not noisy, the tuning keys and tailpiece are well made, the fingerboard is comfortable to the touch, and the D neck profile is very pleasant. The deepest string does not rattle, its voice does not get choked. My copy weighs 3.6 kilos, and I can practice standing with it for three hours. Due to the "hidden" jack connector, you cannot just plug in a straight cable, it is worth paying attention to this.

Great look for my taste. Sounds good. Can't use max volume on the knob - signal starts breaking if the thick strings are hit hart enough (which is not very hard). I have a clipping indicator in my audio interface and it doesn't indicate any clipping there, so I must assume it is from the guitar. But the fix is easy - lower the volume from the knob on the guitar and boost the signal somewhere down the chain

Doporučuje produkt Very good product for the price. I is a versatile bass as different kind of tone dial possible by selecting pickups or splitting pickups. The built in eq is also very responsive and Still useful tome when the knob is all the way up to 6 o clock.
