A hollow body guitar is an electric guitar with a hollow body that contains resonating cavities. It has a warm and rich sound, often used in jazz, blues and rock. The body of a guitar usually contains F-holes, which contribute to its acoustic properties. Hollow body guitars have a more natural, less distorted tone than solid body guitars, but are more prone to feedback at higher volumes.
