As today's mainstream music production becomes more and more refined, there is a growing trend towards dissonance as well as imperfection. Lately there are a lot of pedals with White Noise functions and/or scramble filters - which somewhat deliberately "mess up" your sound! The recent Beautiful Noises Exploder is just one such example, and Fairfield Circuitry have developed something similar with AM/FM radio frequency/RFI modulation in their new Roger That pedal - so it sounds like you've tuned in a really bad sound from some distant radio station. The Tune, Shift and Drive controls are particularly interactive. You can go from barely audible glitch sounds to full-blown "ugly" distortion. The "Tune" knob in particular is incredibly responsive - and micro-movements make significant changes!
It has a true bypass function, which ensures that when the effects are turned off, the signal passes directly through the unit without influence or degradation.
