I bought it as a replacement for the standard Sony mdr-7506. with the standard ones, the depth was small and that's why after two hours the ears started to hurt. These pads are much better both in material and in increased depth, now the headphones fit much better and do not come into contact with the ears. Sound insulation has been significantly improved.
