The Baritone has always been a fundamental part of Chapman guitars line up and is now available in the all-new ML1 Pro Modern.
Like the standard scale ML1 Pro Modern, they’ve approached this Baritone from the ground up. Primary objective was to fully realise a more ergonomic and refined design. They achieved this in part through the assimilation of requests from the public, alongside tweaks and modifications from Chapmans own hard working R&D team. Featuring a fully upgraded body contour and carved top, the new Pro Baritone is more comfortable to play than ever, with increased upper fret access, a 28 inch scale length and a stunning contemporary look. It features an all new, proprietary, carved/four bolt construction utilising carbon reinforced rods for ultimate stability. The neck has the feel and access of a set through, but with the practicality of a bolt on! Action packed full of spec like Stainless steel frets, USA Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentient Humbuckers and Hipshot tuners, this modern rock machine is the tool you need for the job.
American Linden is a light and soft wood that produces a balanced tone with an emphasis on the mid-range, soft bass and smooth highs. It features a neutral sound characteristic that allows for detailed and accurate sound reproduction. It is popular for its light weight, which makes the guitar comfortable to play.
Roasted maple is a wood that has undergone a heat treatment process to increase its hardness, stability and resistance to changes in humidity and temperature. This material provides a clear, well-balanced tone with a fast response time and excellent sustain. Roasted maple also has a darker, caramel tone that gives the guitar an attractive appearance.
Macassar ebony is a hard, dense wood with a distinctive striped pattern in shades of black and brown. It offers a clear, crisp tone with excellent response and sustain. The Macassar ebony fingerboard is valued for its luxurious appearance and durability. This contributes to the precise playability and longevity of the instrument.
The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
The Superstrat is a type of electric guitar based on the design of the Stratocaster, but modified for a more aggressive style of playing, especially in the hard rock and metal genres. It has a solid body, often with powerful humbucker pickups for a more powerful and distorted sound. Superstrat guitars often have an improved tremolo system (like the Floyd Rose) and a faster neck for technical playing. This type of guitar is designed for the modern guitarist who demands more versatility and performance.
